Welcome!!!

If your anything like me, you enjoy fantasy, the world of wonder, fictional stories and imagination land. There is just something about the worlds without number in these stories that become so real to us. Majority of these worlds are creation of someone's imagination or a variation of the world we live in. The characters, whether they be based on real people or not, become real to us. We can look at their lives as a spectator or a active person in their life.

Many times we are the character who has emotions and makes decisions in their life. What is it about these fantasy worlds that click with us? Why is it they can teach us lessons that we don't learn from our lives?

The human mind, I believe, is generally good, loving, caring, and looks for new ways to learn. Fantasy worlds can teach us moral lessons in a way that sticks with us. I have been a missionary for near two years now and the one thing that always sticks out to me is that stories and analogies make teaching principles so much easier.

I have also noticed that stories, fiction or non-fiction, can teach us principles in morals, decision making, cause and effect, etc. Even The Lord in the scriptures uses stories to teach us gospel principles, why not I?! This is my goal. It is no secret that stories in video games, books, short stories, movies, tall tales, folk tales, ect. can be used to help us to understand the gospel.

Lord of the Rings, Halo, Rangers Apprentice, Captain Moroni, Star Wars, etc. are just examples of stories, and each one has at least one gospel principle!

Now let your mind focus on the stories and let the spirit teach you. If you listen closely, it will teach you about your relationship with God and how you can grow closer.
